The role of the Solutions Consultant is to provide unbiased consultative guidance, recommendations and expertise to customers who are considering purchasing hardware/software solutions for their IT infrastructure. IAS Solutions Consultants act as liaison between the manufacturer and the customer to always put the customer first and to always do right by the customer. This individual will work closely with the IAS Engineering Team, IAS Purchasing, Shipping & Finance Departments and IAS Vendors and will need to be organized, thorough, responsive, detail oriented, reliable and a good communicator. The ability to multi-task is required.
Responsibilities
Select, develop and manage moderately complex sales opportunities with both new and established, targeted prospects / clients across all industries within a regional territory. Develop and maintain a relationship with Symantec, EMC|Legato, NetApp, Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems, Isilon, Spectra Logic, Quantum, Overland Storage, Juniper, f5, Citrix, Brocade, McData and Cisco Systems and other partner counterparts within region. Develop new business from initial account planning and inception through engagement closure by implementing corporate and regional sales strategies.
Apply significant knowledge of the prospect’s/client’s business operations, resources, industry, and direction to sell solutions comprising of hardware, software and integration services. Utilizes IAS’ standardized sales process to profile engagement opportunities, develop value statements, evaluate key relationships, analyze and qualify opportunities and position IAS competitively. Industry experience required. Responsible for meeting company annual revenue objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
Successful track record in the following:
- Sales in Enterprise Storage Management Solutions.
- Sales in Leveraging Indirect Models Utilizing Partners and / or Channels.
- Highly entrepreneurial in nature with a genuine interest in new and emerging technologies.
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience with a strong understanding of consultative and solutions selling.
- Attaining and exceeding all sales quotas established in recognizing quarterly and annual performance.
- Excellent relationship manager, engaging prospects / clients capability and strong credibility
- Ability to sell across targeted prospects / clients organizations through selling hardware and/or software and solution sets.
- Developing, establishing and managing influential networks with targeted prospects / clients to strengthen knowledge of the business, industry, and geographic practices.
- Identifying, developing, negotiating, and successfully closing new engagement agreements with clients that will encompass hardware and software products and value-added solution sets and an ability to develop moderately complex, multi-service, multi-year service partnerships with high potential for repeat business.
- Initiating and influencing internal resources / practices to effectively coordinate targeted sales and business development efforts in a team-based sales approach.
- High energy, result-oriented, self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- Polished and poised with unquestionable integrity.
- BA/BS degree desired.
