UCM - Unified Controller Module.
Ultra SCSI - Uses an 8-bit bus, and supports data rates of 20 MB/sec.
Ultra2 SCSI - Uses an 8-bit bus and supports data rates of 40 MB/sec.
Unix – An operating system developed by Bell Laboratories that supports multi-user and multitasking operations.
Upload – Send a file to another computer using a modem.
URL – Uniform Resource Locator. A string of characters that represents the location or address of a resource on the Internet and how that resource should be accessed. World Wide Web pages are assigned a unique URL.
USENET – A network of newsgroups. There are thousands of newsgroups available thorough USENET. Each one covers a specific topic or subject area.
User Id – The string of characters that identifies each individual separately so that the network can differentiate individuals.
