Job Responsibilities:

• Provide product expertise to IAS and our customers in Microsoft Windows associated applications including Exchange, Sharepoint, and SQL Server databases.
• Provide product expertise to IAS and our customers on other messaging strategies and Security)
• Help develop a consultancy practice to define delivery of this focused expertise to our customers including definition of services and delivery mechanisms
• Develop a deep technical understanding of how Microsoft applications are supported and deployed on the various infrastructure platforms and software suites that IAS provides including Network Appliance, HDS, and Symantec. Provide our customers and Engineering Team with backend support for these type of deployments and be able to present these concepts
• Provide demos, architecture, sizing, proposals/differentiators, and possible post sales support for mainstream email and file system archive products (ie. Symantec Enterprise Vault, Zantaz etc.)
• Develop close relationships with application focused engineers at our manufacturing partners
• Help develop a lab environment which will fully support application testing of various deployment and support scenarios
• Provide IAS customers with strategic direction regarding application upgrades and migrations
• Provide hands on support to IAS customers and IAS Engineering Team for various
  upgrades and migrations (i.e.; Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007)
• Develop an understanding and expertise for deployment of Microsoft products and
  applications in a virtualized environment (i.e.; Vmware) and be able to present these concepts.
• Develop documented strategies for various backup and data protection/recovery scenarios for related products and applications
• Present deep dive overviews and discussions on these topics to customers and IAS Sales/Engineering Teams as required
• Provide IAS "IT" group with advise and direction regarding Microsoft application deployment and support
• Help IAS define a strategy in regards to partnership and commitment to Microsoft (i.e.; "partner" classification etc.)
• Meet and maintain product/expertise certification requirements as defined by IAS and our associated partners

Job Responsibilities:

• 4+ years of hands on administration and support with Active Directory, Exchange and/or MS SQL Server databases in an Enterprise environment consisting of over 200+ users and one or more of the following technologies/application suites: Sharepoint, Antivirus products, Antispam products, Exchange archive technologies (i.e.; Symantec Enterprise Vault, Zantaz, Commvault Email Archiver)
• Real life hands on migration and upgrade experience with Exchange and/or MS SQL Server databases
• Demonstration of knowledge regarding Microsoft technologies and their relation to storage design, backup architecture and design, security, and disaster recovery.
• Previous experience in a consultancy role is desired
• Excellent Presentation skills (experience with Powerpoint, Visio, and other presentation technologies)
• Excellent Communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work Flexible hours as necessary to meet customer requirements
• Ability to travel to various customer locations as necessary
• Following certifications are a plus: MCTS, MCITP, MCSE, MCDBA, Microsoft Certified Architect Program
• Existing contacts and relationships within Microsoft for technical support and assistance
